MARSHALLS

Harold Oldfield
Brigita Evans
Sue Anderson

These folks not only walked the walk on the day, but had done it on several occasions in the weeks leading up to the 27th - just so that they knew every inch of the walk.     Brig had also come out with me on several occasions to beat back the undergrowth on the first part of the walk.

Sue not only acted as Marshall on the day, but she also designed the walk signs.

Harold marshalled and baked cakes (not at the same time though).   He is an excellent cake baker and his marshalling was pretty up to scratch as well!

THE CATERING TEAM

Manning the tea and cake stand on the day:

hubby John
Olga and Keith Spruce

Cakes baked by:

Harold Oldfield   (2 coffee and walnut cakes, 2 banana cakes)
hubby John (2 banoffee pies, 2 lemon merangue pies, 2 chocolate cakes)
Carolyn Bunting ( a chocolate cake and an upside down cake)
Jo Boulby (Raspberry Pavlova and chocolate cake)
Jonathan Boulby (Chocolate Rocky Horror or some name that!)
One of June Ford's customers (because June can't bake apparently!) (Orange ring cake)
Olga Spruce - (Fruit loaf)

If anyone is interested it appears that Carolyn's chocolate cake was put out first and went like a shot.   Carolyn didn't even get to see it on the table as it was gone before she returned from the walk!
Chocolate cake the favourite, closely followed by Raspberry Pavlova and Banoffee Pie
Olga and Keith waiting for walkers to return
