Diane Gratwick:
What a lovely afternoon, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks again for all your hard work, it was well worth it, not just for the amazing amount of money raised but to see all those lovely beagles and owners together.
We're looking forward to next year.
Diane
Judi Harvey:
Just a huge thank you for yesterday - it was very enjoyable and more importantly raised so much money for Beagle Welfare - it was also a morale booster to see all those dogs happily rehomed. Helen is amazing but I hadn't realised how amazing till I saw all those happy beagles yesterday. Too tired to do much today except open the fridge for a cold drink and walk my dogs of course. Jeep is booking himself into a Rest Home for Worn out Beagles today!
If I had the energy I would love to do it all again today - but that may be some form of beaglewalkhysteria/hallucinations at work. The mind is willing but the legs wont move! Jeep is asleep again! after his longish walk - he was commenting to my other dog "You think this is a walk - you should have been in Manley,Cheshire yesterday madam, I had to climb turnstiles, duck under hedges, walk past cows and horses (they are quite lazy they just wander round a field all day!) for 5 miles - thank heavens Mum and the other Mums and Dads were laden down with water supplies for us, so the odd stop for a breather and a pint (water of course) helped us keep going. The most annoying thing was when we finished the walk the humans tucked into the most lovely cakes and gateaux and we just got DOG FOOD! Well I say that but I did manage to get a lick of Pavlova when no one was looking!" As Jeep's Mum I think it was noticed as no more slices went from the pavlova plate after that! (oh they did Judi!) But we beagle people dont mind too much - I hope!
Dear Helen,
It was a lovely day and we really enjoyed it. We will look forward to the next one.
You should feel very pleased with yourself after all your hard work and knowing all those dogs now have a happy contented home.
